My DIY journey began in my parents’ garage building a dog house for a charity event. I’d never built anything in my life, and it was intimidating as hell knowing that a bunch of people would see what I made. What if it sucked? What if no one bought it?
That project - which turned out great, actually - sparked a passion for DIY that has led me to much bigger (and better!) DIY projects.
In 2018, I bought a rundown 1917 cottage and have been renovating it room by room ever since. I’ve learned how to do plumbing and electrical. I’ve laid floors and hung doors. I’ve built retaining walls and built a few furniture pieces, too.
